The Psychology Square strives to provide high-quality online therapy services and resources. We understand that situations may arise where appointments or services need to be canceled or refunded. This policy outlines the terms and conditions related to refunds and cancellations.

1. Appointment Cancellations

Client-Initiated Cancellations:

  • Advance Notice: Clients may cancel or reschedule appointments without penalty if notice is provided at least 24 hours before the scheduled session.
  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment will be charged the half session fee unless otherwise agreed upon with the therapist.
  • No-Shows: Clients who fail to attend a scheduled session without prior notice will be charged the full session fee.

Therapist-Initiated Cancellations:

  • If a therapist cancels a session, clients will be offered the option to reschedule at no additional cost or receive a full refund for the session.

2. Refund Eligibility

Non-Refundable Payments:

  • Payments for completed therapy sessions, downloadable content, and other digital services are non-refundable, except under specific circumstances outlined in this policy.

Refund Scenarios:
Refunds may be granted in the following situations:

  • Technical issues on the platform prevent the session from taking place, and rescheduling is not possible.
  • Errors in billing or overcharges.
  • Cancellations by the therapist where rescheduling is not feasible.

Ineligible Refunds:
Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Dissatisfaction with therapy outcomes.
  • Failure to attend a session or late cancellations.
  • Partial completion of self-help tools or resources.

3. Subscription Plans and Packages

Cancellations:
Clients may cancel subscription plans at any time. However, cancellations apply to future billing cycles and do not result in refunds for the current billing period.
For therapy packages with multiple sessions, refunds for unused sessions will be considered on a case-by-case basis, provided cancellation requests align with the 24-hour advance notice requirement.

Refunds for Subscriptions:
Refunds for subscription-based services are not provided once the billing cycle has started unless the service was unavailable due to technical issues.

4. Payment Disputes

Clients are encouraged to contact us immediately if they believe there has been a billing error. Disputes must be raised within 30 days of the payment date.

5. Process for Requesting Refunds

How to Request a Refund:
Clients seeking a refund must contact us via email at info@thepsychologysquare.com and include the following details:

  • Full name
  • Contact information
  • Appointment or transaction details
  • Reason for the refund request

Review and Approval:
Refund requests will be reviewed within 7 business days. Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method and may take up to 14 business days to reflect in your account, depending on the payment provider.

6. Refunds for Digital Products

Payments for digital materials, such as self-help worksheets, eBooks, or courses, are non-refundable unless the product is defective or inaccessible due to technical errors.

7. Rescheduling Policy

Clients can reschedule appointments with no penalty if the request is made at least 24 hours in advance.
Rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of the appointment may be considered at the therapist’s discretion but are not guaranteed.

8. Emergency and Special Circumstances

In the event of emergencies, such as medical issues or unavoidable circumstances, refund or cancellation exceptions may be granted at The Psychology Square’s discretion.
Supporting documentation may be required for exceptions.
